Tuesday: Lab day to work on Module 1 or 2 tasks. Module 1 assignments due by 11:59 pm. Wednesday: Flex day --- lab work or small group instruction as needed. Thursday: Quiz on conditionals. Wednesday: Module 1 (guided practice and prelab assignments Thursday: Practice Lab for conditionals Friday: Begin Module 1 assessments - Lab 1 & PracticeIt assignment Monday: I will return the Chapter 2 test and we will discuss as class. If time, we will also discuss the common tasks associated with String methods.
Tuesday: We will focus on Math.random() and students will practice creating correct ranges of numbers. Wednesday: Gallery demo of Design Your Own Program submissions. We will also have a coding challenge dealing with String & Math methods. Thursday: MC quiz on String Class and Math Class. Friday: Intro to conditionals. I will be out of the building for a state conference on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The students will be working on several Java assignments on String methods and String manipulation. All assignments will be posted on Google Classroom and the lesson plans on Monday morning.
On Thursday, I will work with small groups of students who need additional instruction on String methods. Other students will be working in CodingBat. Friday will be an introduction to the required methods from the Math class. Monday: Labor Day holiday. No School --- Enjoy!
