Monday: NO school - holiday
Tuesday: No school - professional development day for teachers Wednesday: Individual progress checks. Continue with coding in CodeHS, repl.it or collaborative design based projects Thursday and Friday: Small group instruction on either loops, Strings, lists or functions. Students who are not in small groups will continue coding. We are continuing our exploration of the Python programming language. Students have been allowed to choose between repl.it, codeHS or EarSketch to practice their skills. All students should have finished basic conditional code. I will be doing progress checks twice a week.
Monday: Practice tracing nested conditionals Tuesday: Progress check. Introduction to loops for those students who are new to loops. Wednesday: Quiz on conditionals. Student should be able to trace complex conditionals and predict output. Thursday: Coding day and progress checks NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY 2/15, MONDAY 2/18 AND TUESDAY 2/19. Monday: Warm up --- predicting output and handwriting code
Tuesday: Conditional code challenge Wednesday: Progress Check (repl.it or codehs). Introduction to loops and some students will practice tracing complex loop algorithms. Thursday: Given a scenario, students will write an algorithmic solution and will then code the solution using input/output, conditionals and loops Friday: Free coding day. What can you make in one class period? Choices: python, EarSketch, arduino boards, spheros or adafruit circuit playgrounds |
