Tuesday: Conditional code challenge
Wednesday: Progress Check (repl.it or codehs). Introduction to loops and some students will practice tracing complex loop algorithms.
Thursday: Given a scenario, students will write an algorithmic solution and will then code the solution using input/output, conditionals and loops
Friday: Free coding day. What can you make in one class period? Choices: python, EarSketch, arduino boards, spheros or adafruit circuit playgrounds
Monday: Finish unit 1 of Python -- input, output, variables, datatypes and math operations
Tuesday: Intro to conditionals
Wednesday: Live coding on unit 1 in python
Thursday: Continue with conditionals. Begin project

Monday & Tuesday: We will go over the description of the College Board Explore Task, one of the two thru-course assessments. This task counts as 16% of your AP score and must be completed independently or you will be flagged for plagiarism. During these two days, we will study the project description, get your digital portfolio set up for submission, go over the grading rubric and practice scoring previous submissions.
Wednesday - Friday: First three days of the Explore task work. You will get a total of 8 class periods to work on this task. Three are this week and then the remaining five class periods are next week.

Wednesday: Intro to the Big Data industry (video)
Thursday: Begin citizen science activity
Friday: Activity on security, privacy and storage issues with data collection

The students will begin a project on Monday that covers our unit on Data Representation. The students will work individually or in small groups on a choice topic to cover the required content, skills and vocabulary. There will be a number conversions quiz on Friday, November 16th. The unit test will be on Friday, November 30th.

Monday: Last class period to work on eCard/Game project.
Tuesday: No school - TWD
Wednesday: Projects should be submitted to Google Classroom before coming to class. We will have a gallery walk, feedback and individual conferences with Mrs. Whitlock. There will be visitors from GA Tech to try out our games/ecards as well.
Thursday: Introduction to binary numbering system
Friday: Flex day. PTSA has special events planned for all 10th and 11th graders during 6th and 7th periods.
eCard/Game project description and scoring rubric
Students will begin a week long, independent major project. They will have all class periods this week to work on this project. It will be due on Monday, November 5th.
