Tuesday: Unit 2 overview and checklist. Students given personalized assignments based upon pretest. Mini-lecture: Introduction to String class
Wednesday: Lab day to work on String assignments

Friday: String quiz and Introduction to Math class
Monday & Tuesday: I will be out of the building for a county meeting. Students will work on CodeHS, chapter 3, sections 3.1 - 3.6.
Wednesday: Reteach any components that need further clarification. Introduction to String class.
Thursday & Friday: I will be out of the building for a conference. Students will work on CodeHS, chapter 3, sections 3.7 & 3.8

Friday: Intro to Using Classes and assignments for the following week.

Note: Our first test will be on Thursday, September 5th. A study guide will be given this week. The test will consist of multiple choice, short answer and handwritten code.

Monday: Lot's of practice on Monday. We will cover escape sequences, primitive data types vs. objects, variable statements and the relationship between classes and objects.
Tuesday: I will be at the dentist (Oh joy). Students will begin an online coding assignment that will be due on Thursday evening.
Wednesday: Review for quiz. Intro to mathematical operations & order of precedence
Thursday: Quiz in class. Homework assignment due
Friday: I will be out of the building on Friday. Students will begin a portfolio of Unit 1 tasks.
